Harvest Scene is a 11.9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Hanksville, Utah that offers scenic views and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips and is accessible year-round.
This is a wonderful hike from the Land of Standing Rocks. It's a full 12 mi round trip with some scrambling down to the canyon floor and then back up again. The Harvest Scene is a masterpiece. It's an easy hike and temps in the 70's made for very pleasant conditions. One word of caution: the walk is along river bottom and is very sandy. It doesn't necessarily slow you down, but because your feet are working differently than they would on a harder surface, some blistering may occur. Take moleskin along and treat those hotspots early. Total time out and back from the trailhead at The Plug was 6 hrs.
