East Fork Duchesne River Trail to Pinto Lake is a 13.5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Kamas, Utah that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from July until September.
This trail drops 1190 feet in the first 3.5 miles before climbing 1250 before arriving at Pinto Lake. The mileage uses the Skinner Cutoff which shortens the hike
Not too hard of a hike for a beautiful lake. See my post on my blog about my weekend trip out to Naturalist Basin, Pinto Lake, and Mirror Lake -
Camped along the river on this trail between junction of the North Fork of the Duchense trail from Mirror Lake and the Junction of the Highline trail. Nice easy to follow trail
