A beautiful day hike. Difficulty is moderate, so you don't need to be in the best shape of your life, but be forewarned - the trail is steep in some places. The mileage listed in the details is an approximate mileage from the trailhead to the peak. Some switchbacks, but the trail can be steep in some places. Once you get to the ridge, the trail will take you down across a bowl and up onto another ridge. Once on that other ridge, Cherry Peak will be towards the north-west and Mt. Naomi will be almost directly East. If you just follow the trail, you will skirt around Cherry Peak and never actually summit it.
Awesome hike! Very pretty. Steep at times but well worth the effort. Amazing views once you reach the top.
Good day hike. Trail is usually well kept, though there are some spots where it gets steep and can be covered in scree.
