At 0.4 miles the trail reaches the south spur and turns north-northwest. At 0.45 miles you come to a fork, stay right. At 0.67 miles you will reach the B-36 overlook. If you look down the mountain to the west you will see parts of a crash site from 1953. See the FMSP-B36 hike for more info. From this point the trail switch-backs up to the bluff on the ridge where the trail ends. Return via reverse route.
