This is one of our favorites trails. We did it in the month of November 2014 and we had the opportunity of enjoy the beautiful maple leafs, several colors, red, yellow. There is a very little cave near the trail where you can see some stalactites, there are also benches were you can seat and enjoy the beautiful view. The arroyo invites you to soak your hands and face in the clear water, of course we did it, very fresh and agreeable experience. The trail is about 5 miles if you go just to the old lodge, but we went about a mile further. The Pratt Lodge Trail is only a part of the McKittrick Canyon Trail of 21 miles. On our way back we noticed that it was hailing, not hard not cold, and we continued walking as normal, we enjoyed it a lot. The mountains, the river, the maple trees, even the hail, everything was beautiful. You can visit this place with your family and you will have a great time.
