I've been out here several times. I've run the bike trail which works great as I only came across one biker. I've run the roads/paths by the water and it makes for an easy run. It's pretty isolated and the water is super low, but you can drive down to get closer to it. I would camp here as well for privacy and no fuss.

Not a fan of single tracks to begin with. The course is not marked, so it's easy to get off track. The trail is basically an all beginner with maybe a few intermediate parts thrown in. I personally did not think it was worth the $5 to get in.

If you're a dog owner who is looking for a place to take your dogs off leash - this is it!!!

Instead of taking the mountain biking trail, drive further in towards the camping sites. You can then do two things: park at camping site or, if your vehicle allows, take the dirt road towards Lake Travis.

Whichever way you go, you'll end up near the water. You can then walk for miles along the shoreline. The sand provides a workout for the people and dogs. When the dogs are hot or thirsty, they can take a dip in the lake. The water pretty clean and didn't yield any smelly dogs.

Things to watch out for:
Large fish carcasses - folks just leave 'em on the beach, so keep an eye on anything the dogs are TOO interested in
Bring your own poop bags - carry in/carry out
Holidays/summer weekends - there will be lots of campers, who may not appreciate your canine friends rummaging through their lunch and hanging out in their tents :)

The official rule for dogs at this park: must be on leash near camping sites, but then under "owner control" elsewhere.

If your dogs are friendly and UTD on shots, this is a wonderful day trip!
