Flat, easy loops in the state park. Decent distraction, or leg stretch, but nothing special.

I would agree with what others have said about this being a nice, flat trail for all skill levels. The park overall was very nice and we found the workers and campers there to be very hospitable. We walked the Post Oak Trail (found between campsites 70 and 72) yesterday. It's one of the shorter trails at a little over a mile round trip. It was great but a tad monotonous with the scenery. We look forward to exploring the other trails.

Trail is in good condition: family friendly. Room to explore. Pick the right time of day or the right season: midsummer afternoons in south Texas are a bit hot.

Flat land wide trails for volunteer's four wheelers. Shady to beat hot summer days.

I have been here several times, just to put in miles. It is the closest trail to me, other than Riverside Park (cement with a few dirty paths).

This area is flat, however they have a maze of trails that intersect, so you can make the hike as long as you want. I have put 10 miles in no stop. They have signs every time one of the branches breaks off. It is really not trails. They have made so the four wheelers of the volunteers can ride everywhere. It you want to get out and just walk, it is perfect for that.
