Katy Trail is a 7.5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Dallas, TX that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Easy paved trail and an "off-road pathway" that runs alongside of it. Restaurants provide free water to those working out, police on bikes regularly patrol the entire trail, great social atmosphere and plenty of places to visit while on it. It's not for those wanting to get-a-way from the city because it is the epitome of urban life.
Love this trail for a good brisk walk with lots of shaded areas. Very clean and well maintained cement trail walk.
Walk down in to the parks and the stairs below the trail also. Beautiful scenery and peaceful. Even in the middle of Dallas.
Great place to walk dogs. Lots of stops with water. Katy Trail Ice House is also a nice place to cool off. Misters and water for doggies and humans!
I love this trail, right in the heart of Dallas.
Beautiful trail that goes into downtown Dallas.
Nice paved path with high traffic, need to be aware of your surroundings as there are many cyclists, pedestrians, and k-9s. The trail also has an occasional event held on or near it such as foot races.
Fun running or roller blading trail
We live close to Katy and walk it (with our dog) almost every day. Katy is an old railroad right of way, so only a few traffic intersections to cross. Some shaded areas help somewhat on hot days. It can be very crowded on weekends. A few bikers zoom by so be careful.
Awesome Trail in my city. It's crowded by it's such a nice trail with great stuff to do around the trail. I don't take my dogs just because there are too many other dogs around. I'm a snob dog owner :)
7miles total if you start at the AA Center entrance, great straight-away trail. Paved, and shaded in the summer months.
This is an awesome trail i use to jog everyday.. Lot of water fountains, security patrols, night lights and well maintained overall..
Sorry-got this mixed up with Katie black trail-apply everything I said in this review to Katy Black...can't find a way to delete the review.
Not much going on on this trail. Worth riding at least once....very easy. Better than pavement any day of the week though!!
Feels a few degrees cooler on trail than weather actually is. Popular location for bikes and runners year round, surprisingly do not smell the car fumes from the amount of traffic beyond the tree lines and do not hear it as much as what I thought I would have Easy trail, fully paved, fun to people watch all the different characters who use the trail.
