Houston Arboretum and Nature Center Outer Loop Trail is a 2 mile loop trail located near Houston, TX and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and mountain biking and is accessible year-round.
Houston Arboretum is closed to mountain bikes. For an off road ride nearby, the adjacent Memorial Park serves that well. For a non-technical ride, there is also the outer loop trail on the other side of Memorial Drive from the Arboretum.
Nice easy trail. Has some short trails off the outer loop that add to the walking. Very pretty. The center's building was closed for the Thanksgiving holidays. Bathrooms accessible from the outside. Pretty walk.
Hiking in the city.
The Houston Arboretum trails are Beautiful but I'd like to explore more fully next time, and on a bike. This is maybe my favorite area in Houston.
Great place to spend afternoon with kids while learning about nature.
If you are into a smooth ride watching the scenic woods. This is a great riding place. No tough trails just a nice ride through the woods.
While there is usually a bit of activity near the front of the Houston Arboretum, the outer loop trail can be surprisingly serene and hilly for the Houston landscape. It's a great place to go if you want to forget you're in a large metropolitan area for a while.
Pretty cool trail, my daughters liked all the little bridges and it was nice to have the well defined trails. There was a lot of construction when we went and some trails were closed off on 7/12 but didn't detract from all the other sites.
Good, open, ADA paved and unpaved trails. Has nature center with activities going on throughout the year. Really good escape in Hermann Park.
