Goat Cave Nature Preserve is a 0.6 mile out and back trail located near Austin, Texas and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking and is accessible year-round.
Short hike through nature preserve with cave and karst. This short trail takes you past some interesting geological formations. The first you will pass is a sinkhole, followed by a small cave. The largest cave is surrounded by a fence to prevent damage. This area is ecologically sensitive, so stay on the trail. As a nature preserve, no dogs or bikes are permitted.
Good for small children.
there are two small caves but you couldn't get down there to explore anyway. there are barriers to it. its a small trail, it is hard to ride my bicycle on the trail. hiking is the best.
Not very long. Very poorly maintained. I wouldn't go back.
Not well kept, very short and nothing worth going back for.
It is decent for family hiking/walking - relevantly easy and intriguing place to explore for young kids.
