Enchanted Route Summit Trail is a 1.3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Llano, Texas that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
Easy. Quick. Neat view.
Great hike. Not too crowded and gorgeous views.
Unique trail! More of a summit and the moderate grade makes for great views of the Texas Hill country! Very scenic and many offshoot trail opportunities. Scaled up the recommended hike and scrambled down the back. Rock is sturdy and family friendly.
Very well used trail. Get there early. Park will be closed when crowded. Trails will become slippery and will be closed in event of rain. Beautiful views make the climb worthwhile. Allow some time to explore the summit and take in the view.
This trail was both fun and challenging. The views from the top of Enchanted Rock are rewarding. I recommend this trail.
It was a fun challenge getting up there.
I grew up about 10 miles from Enchanted Rock, and hiked to the summit long before it became a State Park. Back then, it was privately owned, and was not near as crowded.
Awesome view. Worth the straight up hike to the top. Take lots of water.
Unique experience. Can be slippery if wet and windy.
It's not hard to find the trail, just go uphill until you hit the summit.
You should be in better shape to do that as it is 400 feet or so in half a mile. There is no shade on this trail so it can get hot in the summer.
We did the Echo Canyon trailer after this one, but you should be in good shape if you want to do both.
