Cottonwood Creek Trail is a 2.2 mile loop trail located near Wilmer, TX and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round.
It appears that Tim is still righr. The trail is overgrown :(
The trails are overgrown to the point of not existing anymore. Impossible to find from either trailhead. I used the "Farm Road" (and I use that term loosely) to reach the footbridge and could not find any hint of a trail on the other side, so I turned around and went back on the "Farm Road" to the trailhead. With all of the warnings about poisonous snakes there is no way you could feel safe walking in knee-high brush for miles. Until this trail is cleared I would personally deem it unfit to hike.
