Looking for a quick walk inside the city of Irving/Las Colinas, this one's for you. Well kept and the pathwalk is wide enough for bike and walkers. Paved path all through the trails located in Las Colinas
Paved, amazing trail in Irving! You run by the canal as well as the Polo club. Not hard grade and easy terrain.
Keenans Crossing is not a trail per se, but a small portion of the much larger Campion Trail; just as Valley Ranch or Las Colinas is an area with-in the larger City of Irving. The whole trail is marked along the trail with wooden posts that have names and numbers indicating distance and sub-sets of the trail (Sam Houston, Keenans Crossing, Spring Trail, etc.). However, every marker has a CT (Campion Trail) followed with some numbers. I believe the trail head is located in Valley Ranch close to the cross streets of Valley Ranch Parkway and Cimarron Trail. The number on the Post at that location is 101, which is the lowest number along the whole of the trail. The whole trail is really just a very wide concrete sidewalk. There are however, areas along the trail where it is possible to walk, run, or ride off the sidewalk onto a natural surface which parallels the sidewalk.
Best trail i've ran thus far! Wide paved trail surround by beautiful trees and luxurious homes. Very neat clean and calm, great for beginners/family. There are also about 3 other trails around it and surrounding lakes. I recommend this place to everyone!
great place to walk/run or bike. The pathwalk is wide enough for bikes to pass without runners and walkers needing to move aside. Well kept pathwalk and the grass around the trail is well kept as well. Getting to Keenans, you will need to exit MacArthur off of I635 travelling east. Keeping going on the service road until you're on Riverside. Make a left a 161 going North, then make a quick right at the sign that says I635 east. However, do not go on the freeway. Keep on the service road and you will make a left under the freeway. Plenty of parking.
