Sunset Rock via Bluff Trail is a 3.4 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Lookout Mountain, TN that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
this was a gorgeous trail and probably now deemed my favorite. you start your hike going through point park towards their museum and down a steep metal staircase to the actual trail. the bluff trail is literally next to very tall rocks and you're on the side the mountain entire time. about 1.5 miles in, you can hike up to sunset rock which is STUNNING.
I highly recommend this trail!
Loooooooots of stairs but a great view!
Great hike! Started at Point Park on Lookout Mountain. Point Park was $5 to get into a the door. The Bluff trailhead was hard to find at first but was located down a set of stairs. The overall hike had an easy trail to follow and pretty easy. The way up to Sunset Rock was steep but well worth the view!
took a group of young boy scouts, nice trail with scenic views
Enjoyed this hike. There was Rock climbers on the trail, it was fun to watch them. I wish the trail was marked better , a few places we had to guess which direction to take...But we had a great time everything was beautiful. Lots of tree roots and rocks so you really have to watch the trail.
Beautiful views. Great morning hike. You can turn it into a nice loop and get it done in about 2 hours.
There was a small parking lot near the entrance, the walk down to the summit amd back was short, and has a step like path. I did not go far from the summit onto the path, because others kept turning back after a few feet. The view is beautiful.
This was by far the most beautiful view I have ever seen, and we didn't eve go during sunset. There are some sweet places to Eno, too!
