Stringers Ridge Trail is a 3.2 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Chattanooga, TN and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
Good trail for exercise, decent scenery, lots of variety in trees and had fun identifying them. Hard to really relax as you must stay vigilant for mountain bikers who share the trails which is, frankly, a serious injury waiting to happen as there are many sudden curves and dips. We did the blue loop which is marked 3.7 miles but all of our pedometers calculated more in the 4-4.2.
Love the trail!
Pretty fast trail little short, lots of steep climbs and foot traffic.
Fun trail near downtown. A couple of the more difficult loops were a little overgrown.
Urban wilderness. Close enough to work/ home I can get a loop in an hour. Convenient nature... Can't beat that!
Fun! Pretty look out.
I was disappointed in this municipal trail. Very little to draw your attention, seemed to be more of a biking trail.
These are very nice trails. Many people state that the trails are well marked. They may be well marked, it you understand the markings. A good example is one trail that has a sign for bikes, a sign for hikers. The sign is at an intersection going right or left. There is a bike marking stating enter on one set of days. There is a hiking marking for the opposite set of days. There is no arrow showing which direction on which day. Just a statement do not enter. Is "enter" a right turn or left? Well marked, with unclear directions.
Take my dog here often on the Cherokee Trail.
