Nice ride, but too long for the punch.

An amazing contradiction from history to modern; from old deep south to music and then there is the mighty Mississippi River. It is flat most of the way, but when you get to Vicksburg, take Lovers Lane up to the National Cemetery. This reminder of the horrors of the Civil War is the highest point between Memphis and New Orleans. From the cemetery there is an awesome view of the delta.
