This is a paved trail designed with bike riding in mind. Open year round. This 9 mile round trip out and back trail is paved with very little elevation change. It begins following the Big Sioux River for about 1.5 miles then follows Skunk Creek to a dead end at 12th street.

This spur trail begins at Sertoma park and goes along the West side of the Big Sioux River and then joins Skunk Creek where it enters the big Sioux. At a good pace you can do this in 40 minutes out and back.
