The Grizzly Creek Trail is great! You will hardly see any people on this trail and the landscape is unique. The trail runs through open meadows, by large granite spires, and through dense pine forest. The trail can be difficult to locate at times, so a GPS or topo map is a necessity. Also, the trail is not managed very well. Downed trees cover the trail throughout the entirety of the trail, so the hike takes longer than you would expect. At the end of the trail, the hike gains elevation quickly until it runs into Trail 4 (Harney Peak).
I took grizzly creek trail no.7 up to harney peak the trail no7 is about 6.5-7miles long and the trails that connect to harney peak were another 1.5 trails #3 and #9. The grizzly trail is very strenuous twords the last half of it.
