Amazing! The view is beautiful, you can rock climb if you want, and very peaceful! Would definitely come back!

The northern tracks dead-end about half-way up. Definitely not traveled enough to be considered a "trail." Easy enough to find the peak, though, since you just hike south and up. 40 minutes up and 25 minutes down for me.

If you're looking for a trail, it'd probably be better to start at the dirt road to the south west and hike up it. Maybe also take the spur to the south west; I haven't checked that out yet.

The view is great. Definitely worth coming out here. You will have to climb some boulders at the top. I wouldn't say "Hard" difficulty is appropriate (unless you're coming from the north).

You can drive pretty much all the way to the top but it's very steep and you'll need more of a offroading type of vehicle. If not you can just hike it which is also fun! Some mountain
Lions in the area so be aware of that but the view from the top is excellent. One side is rapid and the plains and the other is the hills and Rushmore. Really beautiful place to set up camp for the night.

Great view at the top! Wear bright colors if you're hiking during mountain lion hunting season. We ran into a hunter on the path and saw lots of casings.

Fantastic view at the top. Challenging hike with all the boulders, but definitely worth it at the top

Very steep and you will be climbing up and over big rocks to get to the top, but the view from the top is beautiful. Another plus is that it's not far from Rapid City if you don't want to spend a lot of time driving to a trailhead.
