Table Rock Ridge Trail is a 10 mile loop trail located near Pickens, South Carolina and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Nice, wooded connector trail in Table Rock State Park. The Ridge Trail is a fairly easy, wooded 1.8 mile trail that connects the Pinnacle Mountain Trail and the Table Rock Trail in Table Rock State Park. To get to it though, you must go UP either the Pinnacle Mountain Trail or the Table Rock Trail (both moderately strenuous). For this hike, we went up the Pinnacle Mountain Trail, West to East on the Ridge Trail, and then down the Table Rock Trail. The trailhead is just beyond the Nature Center at the edge of the parking lot. Be sure and fill out the self-service trail registration at the trailhead. The first 0.2 miles is a relatively flat, paved path that parallels a creek. Small cascades and pools are easily accessible from the trail.
Hiked this along with Pinnacle Mountain and Table Rock trails yesterday. Due to fire damage, the Ridge trail (connects from Pinnacle Mountain summit to around halfway up the Table Rock Trail) is fairly hard to follow without trail markers, but luckily this trail is regularly remarked with bright orange blazes. To my knowledge the trail was just reopened two days ago and while it is obvious it has not been travelled in a few months, it is in great shape. The trail path isn't the most obvious at times but the orange blazes are easy to see so you won't get lost. This is one of my favorites because it allows me to quickly hit both summits in one day. Doing all three trails comes to a distance around 11 miles (not positive about the exact distance).
The Ridge Trail is an orange-blazed connector from the top of Pinnacle Mountain to the Table Rock Trail. The three trails make a great loop. We descended this trail from Pinnacle to Table Rock on a great hiking day. The trail itself is not much, as there are no views other than pretty dense forest, but it serves its purpose.
What's the difference between this trail and the Table Rock Trail, other than the distance? I'm confused as to which one I was on.
Hard hike but so worth it! Views were beautiful as was the trail.
Table Rock was harder than anticipated, but gave great views once we reached the top. There were numerous park employees around on the trail with water the day we hiked (it was extremely hot the day we went).
Hiked this yesterday and was defiantly a little harder then expected especially the 1.5-2.0 mark an then the final trek up to the rock itself is well worth it just almost all up a steep incline makes sense though since I was going up a mountain :)
Walked this one with my teenage step daughter. It was her second hike overall and she mastered this hike. Totally loved the views.
Adds a nice loop and makes for a long day if you do Table Rock and Pinnacle Mtn.
Very beautiful at the top! Its a lot of uphill so get ready for it to kick your butt! Very worth the climb.
A hike I have done 2 times well worth the never ending switchbacks and steep grades but once you reach the top its all worth it for sure. Be ready for a hike on the tougher side
