Lake Placid Loop is a 0.9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Greenville, SC that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
beautiful lake and waterfall, educational trail This is a perfect hike for the family. The trail is a self guided trail with numbered stops along the way. When you enter the park get the brochure that is the information that goes with the numbered stops. It is a pretty cool thing as you can let the kids have fun and learn a little along the way. There is a waterfall and a couple bridges for everyone to enjoy. This park has some tougher trails in the park as well as a number of things to do, swimming. boating, fishing etc. The parks proximity to Greenville makes it the perfect quick getaway for the day.
great little trail to spend the afternoon.
We love the loop. It doesn't matter what time of year one walks around the lake. It is an easy walk, with only a couple of steep areas to navigate. This is a lovely stroll or a quick run. Bring the whole family out.
