It was alright, not any spectacular view but it's nice to get lost in the woods, not literally of course.
I love hiking at Harbison. The trails are easy, The scenery is awsome. It's a great Sunday afternoon walk.
With plenty to see and it's kind of neat to meet people doing their own thing. Riding Bike-Running-taking Pitchers-Meeting families with children...
For Columbia and what we have to choose from in MountainBiking, This has to be the best area in the midlands to ride. Super close to home and reasonable parking fee. $5.00 day or $25.00 YR. The Harbison area does have some fun trails in the loop like Midlands Mountain and SpiderWoman. The river views towards the back are really pretty with decent elevation change. Get out there, enjoy and beware of the joggers with their earphones in....
Awesome trails, some logging going on, so partial closures, but rerouted well. Check the Facebook page for updates. Spider woman II: rough. I think "She-Devil with a vengeance" is a more fitting trail name. Definitely shoot for CCW, and wear a camelback. Not too many bugs, or users, lots of lizards though, kinda cool.
A couple more visits and i am very fond of the spider woman II trail. Its very difficult but its has some tough climbs and texhnical adrenaline rushing downhill sections. I suggest counterclockwise route
Tough trails and easy trails... Lots of riding... New trails not shown on the map as well... Take you camel back you may need the water...
Great variance of difficulty. Kept after well and one of the best within the Columbia area.
Great bike trails considering the location!
