Gorgeous for a hike in the winter.
good run in the fall. nice changes in the topography, nothing to sudden.
Nice ride, lots of horse traffic. Several different trails to choose from, you can ride more than the 7.8 miles the app says is there and not ride the same trail. I will be returning to ride here again.
This is just one of an entire network of trails out at Fant's Grove. This is good because you can put together different trail loops to personalize your hike; you are not tied in to one trail. The trails are generally well marked and easy to navigate. There are two views: the lake and the forest. Both are nice, but it can get a little monotonous if you are used to mountain views.
This trail, and adjoining trails, are shared by bikers and horses, which can be a little troublesome. Bikers can be rude (but so can hikers, I guess) and horses leave tracks which, when it rains, become mud holes and are a pain to work around.
This is an easy trail and can be enjoyed by hikers of all skill levels.
Great busy trail for mountain biking. There are usually some horse hoof prints that can be annoying, especially after a fresh rain. My favorite part is riding through the tall grass by the open field. Fun trails!
Good trail, great proximity to Clemson. Trails are well marked and you can find a map of all 30+ miles of trails in the Fants grove area online. Often if it has been wet the trails are really muddy due to heavy use by horses. Love to trail run out here for miles and miles. Great lake views, little other views though. Overall beautiful forests
