Waterfalls, wildlife, good trail for all ages This is a great little getaway for all ages. The only thing you need is a good pair of shoes and some water. The trail starts at the Carrick Creek Nature Center, there are several different things to do here. The trail splits from a few others, check the map at the trailhead. There are several stream crossings and one area where small children could get into trouble in the river. All in all it is a great little family hike.
Perfect difficulty for our family with young kids. The kids loved sliding down the water over the rocks
This is one of my favorite trails for kids. It is an easy hike that runs mostly along the stream. There are lots of beautiful scenes and cool things to stop and look at, and lots of nice places to take a break and let the kids put their feet or hands in the water to cool off (just watch them VERY carefully, as the rocks can be very slick and the water moves fast in a few places). There are a few hills to make it just challenging enough that kids will feel like they've accomplished something worthwhile
Nice easy walk..great beginners trail.
Great trial. Parents - our 4 yr old and 3 yr old made it all the way. They loved it!!!
Very good sights! Tons of waterfalls all throughout the trail. About the first .8 miles has a steep incline, then it starts to slope Down. Enjoyed it!
Had a great short hike on the trail Sunday morning with my wife and two sons (13 & 8). Trail was nice and shaded all the way through and the kids had fun! Will be heading back this weekend to take our daughter as she was not able to go with us.
surprisingly strenuous the first .5 miles.
Was not ececting much from such a short hike but oh boy was I mistaken. This Hike is beautiful!! Be sure to explore the creek along the way to get the full experience!!
Beautiful scenic hike! Perfect for my family (my husband, myself, a 2yr old and 6 month old)
Great with kids. Short 1.6 mile, but still a good workout near Table Rock. Many small waterfalls along the way.
4 or of 5 Stars (based on being an "Easy" rating). This is a great little "circle" trail; good as a "warm-up" for other Table Rock Park trails later in the day, or next day(s). At the first "split", you can choose to hike it in either "direction". Has easy elevations, a couple of small creek crossings (easy), trail is in good condition, well marked with color markings on trees, variety of vegetation. This trip was in the snow (about 4" on trail) - providing a new perspective on this short trek. Recommended for "easy" hikers, even small children. Have fun; enjoy.
Good short, fun trail. Moderately difficult hills and river crossings at times. Definitely a good hike if you're looking for something quick. Great scenery with the creek running down the mountain and multiple waterfalls. $2 at the park gate, but excellent park.
Nice little easy to follow trail with great scenery. Nice first or early trail for folks just starting out- not difficult but a nice step up from flatter or walking trails.
Beautiful scenery. Not difficult, but still a good hike. Water flow was amazing.
Absolutely beautiful and was such a wonderful walk! My two year managed to complete it without many complaints.
Great swimming hole for kids at base.
Myself, husband, and 6 yr old son had a great time on this trail.. Moderate with some cool creek crossings. Approx 1 1/2 hr trail time at a medium pace.. Will do again.
Good simple hike for the family!
