Grass Pond Preserve Trail is a 1.1 mile loop trail located near Carolina, RI that offers the chance to see wildlife. The trail is rated as moderate and primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running, and birding.
A short loop trail through oak-white pine forest rising up to rocky outcrops. A short walking trail marked with yellow blazes loops through the northern portion of the preserve. The trailhead to the preserve begins at the preserve sign along an unpaved path located off Wilbur Hill Road. Follow this path then take a left onto the loop trail. There are other trails on the property, but these are unmarked and go beyond the preserve's boundaries. Access to Grass Pond itself and its wetlands is restricted due to the sensitivity of the animals, plants and natural communities.
