This hike is a combination of the Browning Mill Pond and Tefft Hill hikes found in Walks in the Watershed. A Browning Mill Pond Roaring Brook hike is also found in Weekend Walks in Rhode Island. The hike is about 5 miles long, and should take around 2 hours. Most of the walk is on single-track woodland trails typical of Arcadia. There are some small hills, and the trails are wet in spots and often rocky.
Pretty hike/walk using trails and Teft Hill Td. Only did 1.5 miles today but there is plenty more.
It's nowhere near 5 miles long! it's more like 2 miles and it didn't take 2 hours--more like 1. Not sure about this description on here. It's moderate, with pretty pond views, some parts of the trail are narrow and some parts are wide. It was fairly easy to negotiate. We sort of stumbled upon this trail,, with no plan or map or anything and we could follow it very easily. The yellow trail markers are plentiful and easy to follow. I will definitely be back.
Not sure where they got 5.5 Miles from.. Nice little hike around the lake. Well marked and cleared. Nothing special.
This was another hike we took with the AMC Narragansett Chapter, and another wonderful trail to put under my hiking belt. I was accompanied by my son and youngest grandson, who found plenty of points of interest on the loop hike. The trailhead was difficult to locate (at least if you try to follow Google Maps), but the hike is well worth the search.
