Trillium Trail is a 1.5 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round.
All the Fox Chapel Parks are open daily between sunrise to sunset. The 491 acres of mostly interconnecting parks, open space and trails provide natural corridors for wildlife and green spaces to walk, picnic and enjoyment. TRILLIUM TRAIL is the area of Parkland with greatest concentration of wildflowers. The Trillium are at their peak in late April to early May.
Way too urban but a nice walk in spite of the traffic noise.
I agree with Jeffery, Too close to the road. But some sections were pleasant. It was nice to work off some of Thanksgiving diner.
We hike the Trillium Trail recently. It was nice, but for the most part follows the road and you could hear and see cars driving by. Would like to try the trail again in the Spring when the trillium is in bloom, but not likely to take the hike again any time soon.
