The trail goes downhill almost to the creek and dead ends. Nice trail just the same.

Downhill just about all the way to the dead end just before Trough Creek, then you turn around and hike back up to the Balanced Rock Area. About half way down you will meet one end of the Brumbaugh Trail. There is really not a lot to see between Balanced Rock and a peek at the Creek and Raven Rock. But I am happy just looking at a wooded trail. I heard that there was a large bear up this way the night before but I did not see tracks or poo so maybe it was just a story???? Maybe somebody is stealing picnic baskets and trying to frame the bear.
