Ned Smith is a 1.4 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Millersburg, Pennsylvania that features a river. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking.
This is a great place for families, especially when the nature center is open. The trails are not well kept, but are easily traveled. There is a place on the yellow trail where the markers drop off. We traveled the lower route to the higher side of the loop. It was confusing, but it did not take long to explore and find the correct path. Please be cautious and find the color marker. It is there...down the hill and through the door (assuming the trees remain in place). The yellow mark can be found on the other side of the "doorway".
We traveled with a 1 and 3 years old. It was a fun afternoon. The volunteer at the nature center was kind and opened the bee exhibit for the kids. A very nice place.
not at park, its down scholl rd
The north trails are nice and easy paced trails with a few steady climbs, however going all the way out the "Holly Loop" trail was a little confusing. I almost took a wrong turn into the woods after searching 360° for any trail markers. Over all nice on a cool morning and very enjoyable.
