Beautiful trail and surroundings
Nice Views

Nice trail with nice views. It could be better maintained but then we would lose some of the atmosphere.

It is a nice trail, but very rocky in places. Also it is poorly maintained in parts. There are some good views of the trough. Be careful, especially with kids because there are some steep areas. The mileage listed is for out and back but you can cut it in half by doing a one way and then going on to some of the other trails in the Balanced Rock area. Also you can shorten the trail by getting on at the end of Copperas Rock Trail.
