Easy walk or bike ride 2.1 miles to reservoir. Trail is an old railroad bed. Tons of shade cover, in the fall when the leaves are off the tree you can get a great view of the Chinese wall, box car rocks running out the mountain.
Nice smooth way, love it for running! Besides the bugs eating me alive and totally bypassing my husband,I loved it.
*TIP- Bathe in bug repellent!
Little longer that 4 miles if you go all the way to the fence. I would say more around 5. Fantastic ride. A little harder on the way back due to a slight incline, but perfect for a beginner like me.
