Nockamixon Park is 5,286-acres big featuring a 1,450-acre Lake great for canoeing, kayaking, or fishing. The lake is open to boating and fishing 24 hours a day and the park is open sunrise to sunset. The park has an good amount of attractions and can be slightly crowded in the summer near the more public areas. the park does not allow swimming in the lake but does offer use of the pool. Perhaps one of the greatest trails (though there are many) is the new mountain biking trail off of Tower road. While the trail is still considered to be under construction by Valley Mountain Bikers (the club responsible for building this awesome trail) it is typically open (except for extreme weather). The trail is approximately 8.5 miles featuring varying degrees of difficulty. Depending on the bikers skill level it can take almost 3 hours to complete the whole loop but most bikers with a hand full of trails under their belt can get it done in under 2 hours.

Easy and enjoyable. Nice woods, waterfall. I gave it a 4 because it was a little muddy and slippery in places.

Perfect spot to camp locally, boat, or view scenery. Has two separate 1ish mile hikes but theyre mpre walks than hikes (you can do in flip flops). Great places to take photos, especially in the fall

Elephant trail red was a little boring but was a nice walk in the woods with the dog.

did a sunrise ride this morning, gorgeous. I've been through twice before but last time I was in town the trails were closed following super mega ultra storm Sandy. they're open now due to the efforts of valley mountain bikers, ridenox.com and what must have been an army of volunteers. thanks everybody. the damage was extensive, the cleanup must have been too.
go check it out. www.ridenox.com has trail maps and condition reports.

Lake Nockamixon provides for a variety of activities over the span of a large State Park. You can picnic and watch sailboats by the marina, hike and birdwatch along numerous trails, check out the Cormorants by the boat rental or even participate in the many "car meets" setup in the park throughout the summer. The marina is my favorite part to check out sailboats, watch seagulls and sparrows and just relax along the lake.

Trails are open, the club did an awesome job. Everything is marked pretty well. Switchbacks, creek crossings, pine forests, cedar forests, trails along the lake-good stuff. Wear bright colors Monday through Saturday, it's hunting land too. Went twice, the second weekend was considerably more busy than the first, the word is out. (maybe I shouldn't be writing this)

I didn't really care for these trails. They are poorly marked and not kept up with.
