Hiked to the lower falls off of Route 209. The trail was icy at spots but mostly just snow covered. To access the middle and upper falls you will need to drive to Emery Road due to the trail section from the lower to middle falls being unstable. It was a very nice hike!
Great hike. Try to go after a recent rainfall for the best experience of the waterfalls. From the trailhead it was about 1.5 miles to Indian Ladder. There were a few dangerous spots on the path but even my young children navigated them just fine. A few unleashed dogs were on this trail. Otherwise very well maintained with lots of scenery and adventure. Park on Emery Road for quicker access to the falls.
Trail is peaceful and mostly flat. There are parts that are rocky and uphill. Too bad we went when there is a drought. The waterfall was more like a trickle. Can't wait to return when the waterfall is at it's height. Also, it's more like 2.4 miles for the full trail.
Very relaxing and a nice view. There is a rope to swing into the water at the waterfall. Water level was low, hope to catch it at a higher level next time!
This is a great, peaceful trail that gets better the further you go in. There are so many little step waterfalls along the way. Would be a better trail in the spring as the water levels are very low late summer/ fall. However, with low water levels gives you the chance to hop down in the creek bed and even climb up some of the falls.
Perfect spot to relax
