Harmony Trail is a 2.2 mile out and back trail located near Wexford, Pennsylvania and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Abandoned trolly corridor in its raw form. The Rachel Carson Trails Conservancy is working to have a 4 mile section of what was once the Harmony interurban trolley line converted to a bike and walking trail. Hopefully soon, gravel will be put down on the northernmost mile of the trail. For now, the trail can be wet and there are often streams that cut across the trail. You can also see some muddy animal runs across the trail. Could they be muskrats? Wexford Run has plenty of water running down deep meanders and the deep, wooded hillsides keep the valley quiet and separate from the housing developments.
Clean lots of nice spots right off the trail
There are "no trespassing, private property" signs. This shouldn't be listed as a trail.
I didn't even know this was a trail with an official name! I live up over the hill and this trail is below my property, just a short "tumble" down the steep incline. This is a relatively flat trail. A portion of it (from Richard Road and approx 1/8 mile north) is private property. Mr. Eichner (of Eichner Farms) has posted "No Trespassing" signs but has yet to shoot anyone that I am aware of. There is also a right of way here owned by the electric company -but they don't care if you hike through. It's nice little relaxing trail if you live nearby but I wouldn't make a special trip
