Appalachian Trail- Clark's Creek to Greenpoint is a 16.6 mile moderately trafficked point-to-point trail located near Tower City, PA that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible from March until October.
This is another nice section of trail to hike. There's plenty of access to water. Along the way you can see the Yellow Springs ruins and a sign marking the location of the Village of Rausch Gap. The hiking is easy to moderate. There weren't a lot of hills. Like most of the AT in PA, there were parts of this section that were rather rocky.
Great we'll maintained trail with exceptional camp sites, and the best looking lean to I've ever seen.
Great hike. Hiked from 325 parking area to the Trout Run Trailhead in Swatara State Park (just a short distance from the AT). The trailhead there is new and has some nicer pit toilets that are maintained by the State Park.
Very little poison ivy along the trail section. We hardly saw any until the very end of our hike.
Camped near the lean-to, at one of two nice spacious camp sites near the creek. Spent some time rebuilding the fire pit there, as it was in disrepair and needed the ashes build-up to be removed.
Some nice Hemlock groves along the way as well. A pleasure to hike and I would recommend the hike to anyone.
