Featuring the Green Mountain Wind Farm and Salisbury Viaduct. (5 miles) The Green Mountain Wind Farm is just South of Garrett and consists of half a dozen huge three-blade turbines. They are an almost surreal sight along the trail. But when you get to the Salisbury Viaduct you're in for an even bigger treat. Not only is the Viaduct itself impressive (1908' long and 101 above the Cassleman River and Rt. 219) but on the hills beyond Meyersdale is the FPL Energy Wind Farm with 20 turbines across Meadow Mountain. Cell phone service between Confluence and Meyersdale is spotty at best. The trail between Meyersdale and the PA/MD State Line is currently under construction with an expected completion of Fall 2005
