Nice trail. I went mid-morning and only saw one other person on the trail. Upon return there were a ton of people showing up. The earlier the better for this one likely because of its accessibility. It was a little close to the HWY and there were a few awkward areas for dogs. I was with two dogs and we had to go under the small bridge with one railing. Towards the end of the trail there is the sandy bank with a perfect doggy swimming area for any one who is looking. It is the perfect distance for a quick adventure with the pups for a few hours.
Trail is open. Nice trail with many areas for river access along the way. There are a few areas on the trail with steep drop offs and the foliage along the trail may be a problem for smaller children and dogs. When you get to the area where the trail comes out onto a gravel road you'll need to cross the bridge and the trail starts again on the east side of the road. This is a good hike for all ages with only a small section of steep switchbacks near the falls.
Closed due to weather as of may, bridge is out of something.
This is a very gentle trail for beginners and children. Returning back to the Forestry Center made for a nice end to the trail. We hiked from the center to the Wilson Falls and back, making this just right over 3 miles there and back.
this was a nice hike. did the point to point from the footbridge back to the visitors center. easy to follow and nice views of some very pretty river. it's been a mild winter in Tillamook, so it is very accessible .
