A great trail for small children and those who have trouble getting around. Nice river views, educational signage, many picnic spots and a fully paved trail.
Easy, great for all ages. Lots of wildlife!
Nicely maintained wheelchair accessible paved path through the woods along the Salmon River. Very peaceful with the babbling river nearby. Nice picnic areas. Easily accessible restrooms. Covered picnic shelters. The cascade river watch trail is 3/4 mile paved loop. The wetlands trail is closed due to damage at the boardwalk. You can walk the paved pathway part of the wetlands and then turn back. Great place to go with young kids or the elderly or disabled. Stroller friendly. River is easily accessible. Lots of places to sit on the pathway and there is a viewing window where you can see fish swimming in the river.
Nice and easy trail. Easy enough for our 6 and 3 year olds. We started off crossing a big bridge over the Salmon River. Then proceeded through the boardwalk, stopping at the various outlook points. Then finished the trail with a stroll through the woods. There are lots of stops on the trail and benches to rest if needed. The hike was a lot easier than expected.
