Twin Buttes Trail is a 2.3 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Cascadia, Oregon that features a great forest setting and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and trail running and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Directions from Sweet Home: Travel east on Hwy. #20 for 17 miles and turn right on Forest road 2032 (Gordon Road.) Travel 14.4 miles to the trailhead on the left.
The views were a huge payoff of this hike! The lower section of the trail was a bit overgrown, I'm certain it is not a frequently used trail, there's one section where you have to go over/around a log, and many sections have loose bark debris, rocks and sticks over the trail, it is also steep but so worth it! We had a bit of an issue actually finding the TH, it is just right off the road on a corner, didn't see the sign when we passed by the first time....
Awesome views of the surrounding Cascade Mountain peaks and valleys including Mt. Hood, Mt. Jefferson and The Three Sisters.
