Silver Falls State Park Bike Loop is a 7 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Silverton, OR that features a cave and is good for all skill levels. Directions to the park: From Exit 253 off I-5 drive east on Highway 22 which runs from Bend to the Coast. Go east from Salem a few miles and take the Exit 7 offramp. At the stop sign turn left and go under Highway 22, then follow the signs to the park.
We went in the spring the first time, and it was great. Waterfalls were full and the temp was perfect. We went again in August and the falls were dry, the water was low, and it was too hot climbing back out of the basin.
Lower falls was great and upper was a jaw dropper!
this hike was great
Visited with Family back in 2010. Beautiful park! Want to return and explore more!
I hiked here on Subday February 15th, 2015. I got there around 10 or 11am. Maybe earlier. I can't remember. There was hardly anyone there. The trail is such an easy hike. There are so many waterfalls along the way. I didn't have time to finish the trail completely but I saw numerous waterfalls and really enjoyed my time out there. There were 2 waterfalls that you can walk behind. Such a cool spot.
Hiked this path this morning right as the park opened. It was very nice and peaceful.
Beautiful and easy.
A must stop area for anyone looking to see some amazing falls. Great trail conditions. Can be extremely crowded on nice weekends. Pick an off day or when it's rainy and it's not nearly as crowded. Beautiful no matter when you go.
By far my favorite hike in the 50 mile area. The sights to see are overwhelming. this place is beyond beautiful. Worth the drive from any distance. You can get a good 8 miles out of this hike if you loop and do some exploring
Love hiking here have lots of water falls to stop and photograph
the falls are spectacular
very beautiful area. great day hike.
Great, beautiful hike with several waterfalls, easy terrain. The bum thing is after you get to the last fall the rest of the hike is along the road not any scenery. I would turn around and hike back the way we came in.
Awesome!! This trail was amazing from start to finish. 10 waterfalls in 8.7 miles is more than you can ask for. Each waterfall was impressive and several you walk behind! I highly recommend!
I am born and raised in Oregon and have never been to Silver Falls. I have to say that it was an enjoyable hike and beautiful scenery except for walking by the freeway on the "Rim Trail" path. Other than that I am glad I finally made it to Silver Falls State Park to finally see it for myself.
I feel like I got a good hike in with a fairly smooth path.
Mountain biking site in name only. The biking trails are all asphalt and even then you cannot ride every trail. There are trails outside the park but you have to search them out.
