Wonderful trail! It loops all around the waterfalls! 3 included. It was very busy but if you're willing to go off trail a bit there's lots of wonderful places to get close to the water. The water was so extremely clear and blue. Seriously a wonderful trip!!
This is a beautiful hike with access to amazing waterfalls and pools. As it is so popular, I was only disappointed at seeing litter and many people disregarding the closed areas to walk off trails to get closer to the falls, including a group of young adults who tracked down a slope despite the posted signs to restrict access. This during a time when many rangers were distracted by dealing with the recent forest fires. So very sad when parks like these are created for all of us to enjoy with the trust we will take good care of it when we visit.
Beautiful and challenging trail running. This is not just one trail but with many side trails. You won't get lost on the main trail because you just follow the river but it is easy to not find the side trails to the trailhead and parking areas. We did not have good map and no cell service until the end.
Truly enjoyed this hike, plenty of places to stop and enjoy lunch.
Fairly easy trek down on top of and then bellow Koosah Falls, ending up at the Carmen reservoir. Nicely shaded, well maintained and a bunch of places to snap some pictures.
It was great! Beautiful if you come in the morning and beat the crowd.
Very nice easy hike. My group and I hiked down to koosah first, then back up and to the top of Sahalie. I liked that route. Nice hike along the river and cool places to explore up top. We went late afternoon mid April and there was only a couple other groups there, but I've heard it can get crowded.
Beautiful, easy trail. I'm glad we arrived before noon on a Sunday. By the time we left at 2 the parking lot was full. There are plenty of places to park along the McKenzie and still easily access the trails to the falls. Carmen reservoir was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. Would go back again.
