A quick hike up for a 360 degree view of the high desert. It's a quick mile each way from the base to the summit, short enough that there's a kiosk showing the trail running times to get to the top. Once you reach the top, there are views of all the Oregon Cascades and the surrounding high desert.
Pretty panoramic views of all the surrounding mountains.
Great short hike with rewarding views! I like to take the nature trail on the way up, and the road on the way down for variety.
To our surprise top has nice 360 views of all the peaks in the area, including Mt Hood and Adams. Nice picnic spot for lunch and short hike
The view is fantastic from the top but it's usually pretty crowded. Great place to take visitors.
Great 360 degree view of Central Oregon from the peak of this in-town butte! Heavy foot traffic (along with actual traffic as there is a paved road for vehicles up to the top as well) somewhat distracts, but the reason it's so popular is plain to see, the views of the Cascade Range, Deschutes/Paulina Forest and the High Desert are amazing!
easy nice veiw of bend
Love it!! I go every day on my lunch break
Very easy, views of bend and the cascade Mountains.
You can see all of Bend from up here. Mildly strenuous, short hike. Bathrooms are at the top, for the small-bladdered hikers.
Easy, fun first hike
