Nice hike if you just wanna get the blood flowin'. It's definitely kid and pet friendly but the view at the summit isn't that great. Overall a good little hike though!
Only 1 mile loop, good work out up for heart and down for knees. Some good views up top, part of Skyline Ridge Trail system---potential for longer hike in either direction. Too many houses and powerlines to feel like you're communing with nature.
It's a nice hike. Always bring my dogs never a lot of people.
Nice easy trail for stretching your legs on an afternoon. There's not really a view from the summit due to scrub and trees, but the section between the Dillard trailhead and the summit has some really lovely vistas, especially the hiker-only section. (The section from the Spring St trailhead is nicely forested.)
Nice for getting out in the sun during your hike. Got some great pics of others on the trail
very steep but short hike. works the calf muscles and the booty. at the top there is a nice bench and great views
decent hike. didn't like how you wee confined in brush so much. still got a nice sweat and had a good time with my lady.
beautiful not heavily trafficked, quiet
after driving 5 hrs it was a great trail to get out stretch and get the blood flowing. Had a neat view as well:)
Great short hike with some views. Also good for MTB with some steep fast sections.
You have to catch this trail on a nice day, preferable when it isn't windy. The wind really whips right through and can be extremely cold! The path is very clean and maintained, even in the steep areas it's maintained to the point of actually being graveled. It is a pretty steep trail, but I think anyone can accomplish this short hike. It's a steep up, a nice long walk across the top and then back down the steep bottom. There's parking at the bottom and even a map at the trail head.
This was a rather difficult walk. It was good starters hike, but the views weren't at all worth the effort. You couldn't see the cascades.
Eugene has several interlaced trails just outside the city under the Ridgeline Trail System. We hiked the Mount Baldy trail from the Spring Street trailhead to the Dillard North trailhead and back. The first part of the hike is in wooded forest and all uphill. Once at the top of the summit the terrain is mostly open if you take the bike trail at the split down to the other side. If you take the footpath, you go back into wooded forest with some great views overlooking the city. Many families on the trail today. Dogs on leash. Good workout for just over a mile each way.
