My husband and I traveled here from San Diego. We love trail running but are used to dry climate. This was the most beautiful run I've ever done. Brutal and unforgiving though with lots of hills. All worth it though because the scenery is amazing. Definitely recommend for a hike or a daring run.
great trail! pretty good challenge. lots of people on Labor Day! reached pittock mansion!
This one was pretty hard for me, but worth it!!
Pittock Mansion and the view from its grounds are fitting rewards for this hike.
Awesome family hike and inside of town.
Great family hike!!!
Great fun for the family.
One of my favorite hikes conveniently located in Portland! Expect to share the trail with others as it's regularly traveled. Great for trail running, too. The views of Portland from the mansion are incredible and it's a lovely spot to relax before headed back down.
The trail was fantastic and well marked. Fairly busy though. We hiked this on a Monday and still a dozen other hikers and runners.
Nice moderate hike from Lower MacLeay Park to Pittock Mansion. It's shaded the whole way, follows a small river 1/2 way up and then heads into tall trees on a well worn path with rare obstacles underfoot. It's popular so there are many others going up/down but not excessive.
Fun climb up. Gorgeous view at pittock mansion. Easy climb back down
An afternoon hike with my family, very pretty and some good exercise, but my kids did get a bit bored because there were no waterfalls, animals, etc.
Challenging yet doable. Excellent view at the mansion.
