Fret Creek Trail is a 3.9 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located in the state of OR that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible from May until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Take NF-44 off of Hwy 35. Once you get to NF-4420 (easy to pass right by) take a right onto it. Stay on NF-4420 for a ways. Once you get to Fifteen Mile Creek campground slow down, the trail head is only a couple hundred feet past that. Starts on the West side of the road.
This was a great little hike. It is a pretty quick incline in a short distance and still had some large melting snow patches to go through. There was also A LOT of blowdown to climb over or go around. Very nice hiking along the creek and then getting to the beautiful lake was great. There are a couple places to camp around the lake. I would recommend this as a start point and then when you hit Divide trail take a right and head towards Lookout Point.
