Beautiful hike but the trail was a little rough. A few downed trees , some boggy muddy sections and thorny overgrowth made the going a little slow. Be sure to wear good boots and a good hiking stick would be a plus! Worth the short climb to enter the basin which was filled with wild flowers and great alpine views. Worth the effort! Also note, access to the trail was a two mile gravel logging road that was a little rough in places and no restroom facilities at or on the trail.

Nice short hike thru the trees to the meadow. We went memorial weekend there was skittle snow on the trail in places but many downed trees on the trail you had to crawl and try and make your way over, which proved difficult at times with little kids with us. The meadow was quite soggy in parts between the boardwalks. Overall not to bad, probably a little dryer closer to summertime but big plus no mosquitos!

A short uphill thru pines into a loop thru a sensitive meadow. I went at the end of summer and much of it was overgrown. But there was some pretty areas of short grass and scattered wetlands from multiple little (maybe a foot or two wide at most) streams trickling down the mountain thru the meadow.
