East Fork Trail is a 12.5 mile out and back trail located near Mt Hood, OR that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible from April until November.
Directions from Hood River: Travel east on Highway 84 to Highway 35. Follow 35 south to Robin hood Campground. The trail begins at the campground entrance.
I have hiked both ends of this trail since it was washed out in the 2006 debris flow from Clark and Newton Creeks. The trail starts just as you enter what use to be the Robinhood Campground located north of Hood River Meadows area, across Hwy 35 from the Gumjuwac trailhead. Don't have an exact mileage reading of how far you can go before you are bushwacking through downed trees and following what maybe the old trail. You can also access this trail from Tamanawas Falls and Pollalie both north on Hwy 35.
