Dry Creek Falls Trail is a 3.7 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Cascade Locks, OR that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round.
Great easy trail for families and it leads to a pretty waterfall! Use your forest pass and hook another hike to this in the gorge area because it is short...just enough to make you want to chase more waterfalls. Its leveled the entire way. Park at the trailhead and cross the street (watch for traffic from people driving to and from the toll bridge). You will be under the main highway and you need to stay to the right towards the pacific crest trail south.
Simple, easy hike through parts of the PCT. $5 parking. Lots of kids and people just hanging out by the waterfall eating sandwiches so arrive super early if you actually want to enjoy it.
Easy trail for kids and dogs. The trail is well maintained and not heavily trafficked.
This is a great fall and a short 30-40 minute hike if you park by the power lines off of Dry Creek Rd. Park at the gate and walk directly across the power lines to the old logging road that is adjacent to the Creek. When you get to the bridge for the Pacific Crest Trail turn right and the falls will be five minutes up the path.
Although the trail is pretty easy and doable with dogs/kids, it's difficult to locate even with directions.
Nice falls. For the over 60 hiker I recommend trekking poles.
Great trail for the whole family.
Awesome trail run with a great waterfall!
Nice trail once you get past the roads. Beautiful creek and falls.
a great hike for the entire family. The falls were beautiful and the actual hike was fairly easy.
Very easy hike for all people. The falls at the end is absolutely gorgeous also!
Great fairly easy hike. The falls were awesome. Kind of hard to find, but follow the google map directions into what looks like a neighborhood, go straight onto the gravel road and you will find the trail head. It doesn't say Dry Creek Falls on it, but says "pacific crest trail south" and a few others. That is the trail head. Only passed 3-4 other couples hiking down as we got there around 3-4pm. Lots of mosquitos despite spraying us down.
The falls are lovely.
It was a beautiful day to take the dog out. There weren't many people out and it was a great hike. The trails were clear and well maintained and the falls were really pretty. It was a good joke to kick off the summer.
2.5 miles in to get to the falls, I went during the week and ran into maybe 6 people total. Not a hard hike at all am very worth doing. The falls were beautiful
This trail is magnificent! It's a slog, but oh man is it beautiful! You still get to see Dry Creek falls in the end, but the trail on he way there is totally different! It's a whole lot better than the crowded Herman Creek Trail. I think we only ran into four people on the trail on a Saturday. This hike made me feel wonderful afterwards and I'd definitely do it again.
This is a great time to go as the trillium are in bloom and other wild flowers are starting to come. Nature is in full bloom. This weekend there was a race in process so the trail was busy, but it was beautiful. The falls are nice. The journey is better though.
