Cornucopia Peak is a 9.6 mile trail located near Halfway, OR and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for rock climbing and is accessible from July until October.
One of my favorites! Phenomenal views from the top peak! I would classify this as an intermediate to difficult hike. Hike to base is pretty lengthy through the valley...Several switchbacks if you can find them...most of the time I made my own path. Lots of loose rocks some points I was hiking on all fours. Ridge path was well worn and easy to traverse!
Proper hiking gear required. Partner, Backpack, lots of water (exposed hike~hot in warmer months) hiking shoes, change of socks (powdery dirt causes severe blisters) hat, walking stick, band aids, snacks to power up, toilet paper(baggies for trash)~anything else u might need on a long hike!
As always~pack out what you pack in... Take nothing and leave nothing! Signatures not appreciated!
