A quick hike along the river leads you past oak savannahs and pasture lands to a back route up Bald Hill. Bald Hill Farms has allowed the city of Corvallis to construct a nature path along the edge of Oak Creek and their oak savannah pasture lands. It's an interesting mixture of natural area and well maintained working farmland, unique in this area. Watch out for bluebirds along the sides of the pastures, they flock to the area in the spring and use nesting boxes all summer. This loop serves as a great cool-down from a longer run on some of the other trails in the Bald Hill Natural Area.
